Eva Bochorishvili, head of the Galt & Taggart Research Department told TV-program Business Morning, that export countries and products were diversified in September.

“We have significant growth with top ten export markets. Decline is merely noted with Armenia and the US. However, decline with Armenia is caused by reduced auto re-export. As for the US, exports of ferroalloys are diminished.

In terms of exports, a positive trend is observed in Azerbaijan, where we have a growth of 12% in September. However, re-exports of cars to Azerbaijan is declined with slower pace.

As for wine, exports have increased to Russia and Ukraine. However, the major product that has a significant impact on exports this year is gold, where we have growth," - explained Eva Bochorishvili.

According to Bochorishvili, imports from Armenia have increased by 111%.

“We import copper mainly from Armenia and then we export the product to various markets. Imports are grown from Ukraine as well, which is conditioned by the tobacco imports growth. We also have an increase in imports from Brazil, which is related to the increased sugar imports. There is an increase from Chile, which is related to the increase of copper imports." - Bochorishvili noted.
