Tamar Archuadze, Director of the Union Airports of Georgian, declares that Kutaisi International Airport will supposedly serve more than a million passengers in 2023. Archuadze made the statement during a discussion organized by Galt&Taggart - "Tourism - Challenges and Prospects".
"Kutaisi International Airport will be closed for 2 weeks due to planned rehabilitation of the runway. In the current year, its terminal was also expanded and increased 6 times because of increased demand. We think we will serve more than one million passengers next year, " says Archuadze.
In January-August 2022, Kutaisi International Airport served a total of 534,007 passengers. During its existence, the airport had the largest number of passengers in 2019, when it served 873,616 travelers. At this stage, 6 airlines operate in 28 directions of 17 countries at the airport.
