Geostat published a report on external merchandise trade of Georgia. According to the report, export decreased 22 per cent i.e. 71.5 million USD amounting to 251.9 million USD.

As for import, its volume amounted to 655 million USD, the rate is 100,9 million USD less i.e. 13.24% comparing to the same period of 2019.

External Merchandise Trade (excluding non-declared trade) of Georgia amounted to USD 2 .7 million in January-March 2020, 2.7 percent lower year-on-year.

The value of exports decreased by 5.9 percent reaching USD 778.2 million, while the imports decreased by 1.4 percent and amounted to USD 1 995.8 million. The trade deficit equaled USD 1 217.6 million and its share in trade turnover constituted 43.9 percent.
