Exports increased by 27.8% in January-July

In the first 7 months of this year, January-July 2021, the foreign trade turnover of goods in Georgia (excluding undeclared trade) amounted to 7.4 billion dollars, of which exports amounted to 2.3 billion dollars.

According to preliminary results, the export rate increased by 27.8% compared to the same period last year.
 
During this period, the share of the ten largest exporting countries in the total exports of Georgia was 77.9%. China, Russia, and Azerbaijan are among the top three exporters. It should be noted that exports fell in January-July to 3 major export markets. As for the TOP-10 exporting countries, their export indicators are as follows:
 
1. China - 370.5 million dollars, an increase of 48.7%;
2. Russia - 322.7 million dollars, an increase of 40.4%;
3. Azerbaijan - 295.3 million dollars, an increase of 22.7%;
4. Turkey - 189.9 million dollars, an increase of 65.7%;
5. Ukraine - 165.7 million dollars, growth - 60.4%;
6. Bulgaria - 127.2 million dollars, decrease - 32.6%;
7. Armenia - 126 million dollars, growth - 19.7%;
8. US - 87.3 million dollars, growth - 127%;
9. Switzerland - $ 44 million, decrease - 20%;
10. Uzbekistan - 42.3 million dollars, growth - 19.2%.
 
Significantly, 46.7% of exports from the country come from the CIS countries, 15.3% - from EU countries, and 38% from other countries.
