Exports of 5 of the 10 Largest Export Goods of Georgia Have Decreased

In January-October 2020, Georgia's exports fell by 11.1% to $ 2.7 billion. According to a Geostat report, exports of 5 of the country's 10 largest exports fell. The sharpest decline is observed in exports of automobiles (-39.8%) and exports of pharmaceuticals (47%).
 
Rating of the 10 largest export goods of Georgia in 10 months of 2020:
 
1. Copper ores and concentrates - $ 618 million, an increase of 17% over the previous year;
2. Cars - $ 335 million, a decrease of -39.8% over the previous year;
3. Ferroalloys - $ 189 million, a decrease of 21% over the previous year;
4. Natural grape wines - $ 163 million, a decrease of -8% over the previous year;
5. Alcoholic beverages - $ 99.6 million, an increase of 4.8% over the previous year;
6. Mineral and freshwater - $ 93.5 million, a decrease of 16.2% over the previous year;
7. Precious metal ores and concentrates - $ 84.8 (last year, the export of this commodity code was $ 1 million)
8. Medicines - $ 78.5 million, a decrease of -47.2% over the previous year;
9. Gold - $ 77.8 million, an increase of 31.1% over the previous year;
10. Nuts - $ 68.1 million, an increase of 49.6% over the previous year.
11 Other goods - a total of $ 897 million, a decrease of 16.9% over the previous year.
 
In total, Georgia's trade turnover in January-October amounted to $ 9.2 billion, 15% less than the previous year. Of this, exports were $ 2.7 billion (down 11.1%) and imports were $ 6.44 billion (down 16.6%).
