Mamuka Khazaradze, the leader of the political union “Lelo for Georgia”, spoke about the quarantine and the extension of the state of emergency with TV-program Business Morning. He has said that there is no predictions as when the pandemic ends, so declaring state of emergency in this uncertainty is a serious mistake.
"The first thing the government has to do is to submit a concrete, anti-crisis plan. Unfortunately, we have not heard any specific statements other than fragmentary statements about the economy, or even about the regulations that they have declared under the state of emergency. Consequently, the relocation of emergency and quarantine zones will be a very serious problem because we do not know how long the pandemic will last and we need to know how to live in the conditions of this pandemic. It is a serious mistake in my opinion to declare another state of emergency in this uncertainty", Mamuka Khazaradze said.
