External Merchandise Trade Up 35.2% Y-O-Y
External Merchandise Trade (excluding non-declared trade) of Georgia amounted to USD 8 467.6 million in January-June 2022, 35.2% higher year-on-year, - show the preliminary data from the National Statistics Office of Georgia.
As of the document, the value of export increased by 35.1% reaching USD 2 548.7 million, while the import increased by 35.3% and amounted to USD 5 918.9 million.
The trade deficit equaled USD 3 370.2 million and its share in trade turnover constituted 39.8%.
