EY Georgia Announces Changes of Leadership In Tax & Law Service Line

EY Georgia announces appointment of a new Tax & Law service line leader in Georgia effective from 1 March 2021. Tato Chantladze will lead EY Georgia’s Tax and Law services. Zurab Nikvashvili, who has established and led this service line in Georgia for many years, accepted a role of a senior advisor to EY Georgia.

Tato Chantladze will become our Tax and Law Leader in Georgia

Tato has more than 16 years of experience in legal profession. He joins EY from one of the leading Georgian banks. Tato had a successful career in one of the leading international law firms, where he worked in Georgia and the USA. After 10 years in consulting practice, Tato continued his career as chief legal counsel of several leading Georgian banks.

Tato is a Georgian qualified attorney-at-law with legal education obtained primary in Georgia and US. He holds Master of Laws from The George Washington University Law School, Washington D.C. Tato is a member of Georgia and New York Bar Associations.

Tato brings a wealth of experience, professional expertise and relentless energy into our practice in Georgia. We are confident, that under his leadership EY will continue the legacy of a leading professional services firm in Georgia and will introduce new products and services to better meet and anticipate our clients’ needs.

Zurab Nikvashvili our incumbent Tax & Law leader will assume the role of a Senior Advisor of our Tax and Law practice in Georgia and will assist Tato in his transition into a new role.

After a successful professional services career spanning for more than 25 years, following EY’s partner transition rules, Zurab accepted a senior advisor role.

Zurab’s contribution into development of EY practice in Georgia, and wider development of professional services industry cannot be overestimated. Being one of the founding partners of EY’s practice in Georgia, Zurab has played a key role in the development of various practices of EY Georgia. Throughout his career at EY and simultaneous educational activities in leading business schools in Georgia, Zurab has developed many young talents who now hold leading positions in top Georgian companies and Government organizations.

In his role of a Senior Advisor, Zurab will assist Tato in the leadership transition.
