How Much FDI Did Georgia Receive In Q2?

The foreign direct investments (FDI) in Georgia amounted to USD 351.8 million in Q2 2022, up 9.1% from the adjusted data of Q2 2021, - according to the preliminary data published by the National Statistics Office of Georgia (Geostat).

According to the document, the United Kingdom reaching USD 64.7 million in Q2 2022 (18.4%) was the major foreign direct investor country, the Netherlands was the second with USD 44.8 million (12.7%) followed by Japan with USD 41.8 (11.9%).

As of the report, the largest share of FDI was registered in the energy sector, reaching USD 76.6 million (21.8%) in Q2 2022, the real estate sector was the second with USD 75.6 million (21.5%), followed by the financial sector with USD 47.6 million (13.5%).
