Food inflation reached 20.5% in 10 months in Kazakhstan, reports the press service of the Prime Minister.

“Food inflation by the results of 10 months of this year reached 20.5%. According to the results of the last month, the growth in prices for socially significant food products amounted to 0.8%. Prices for eggs went up by 7.6%, flour by 3.9%, rice by 3%, milk by 2.2%. At the same time, prices decreased for carrots (0.8%), potatoes (0.6%), sugar, and cabbage (0.1%) over the week,” indicates the report.

In order to stabilize prices for a wide range of food products, it is planned to work out the issue of reducing the cost of grain, fodder, and sunflower oil, KazTag reports.
