Foreign Trade of Armenia Grows by 13.4% to $3.571 billion in 1H21

Armenia’s foreign trade turnover in the first half of 2021 amounted to $3,571.7 billion, having grown by 13.4% from the same time span in 2020, the National Statistical Committee (NSC) said.
 
It said also that the trade turnover in June 2021 surged by 20.1% compared to June 2020 and by 1.9% compared to May 2021. The first half foreign trade calculated in the Armenian national currency, the dram, was worth 1,865.0 trillion drams, according to NSC, ARKA reports. 
 
Armenian exports in January-June 2021 grew by 23.3% compared to January-June 2020 amounting to $1,379.5 billion.

In June 2021, compared to June 2020, exports increased by 33%, and compared to May 2021 - by 12.2%. In dram equivalent, exports amounted to 719.9 billion drams.

Armenia’s imports amounted to $2,192.2 billion, recording an increase of 7.9% compared to January-June 2020. In June 2021, compared to June 2020, imports increased by 12.1%, and compared to May 2021, they decreased by 4.5%.

In drams equivalent, imports in January-June 2021 were worth 1,145.1 trillion drams. ($1 - 483.42 drams).
