If we do not maintain the businesses, we will have a total collapse during the opening of the tourist season, - former Minister of Economy Giorgi Kobulia told TV-program Business Course.

According to Kobulia, the collapse of the tourism industry will hit the country reputation in the future.

"We have to take into account one thing - if we do not maintain and prepare these businesses, as soon as the tourist season opens, we will have a total collapse, which will hit us very hard in the future," Kobulia said.

The former minister did not name specific measures by which the state could be able to support the various sectors, but noted that the government should use all opportunities to maintain the private sector, as well as the economy and take out additional loans from one of its international partners.

“We understand, that business brings money into the budget. If stores do not work, money flow is low. So, our only hope is to borrow from international partners”, said the former minister.
