Soso Berikashvili, the Dean of Caucasus School of Economics declares, that amid the crisis any political instability has a hard impact on domestic businesses and their expectations, as well as in terms of attracting foreign investments.

Berikashvili noted, that Giorgi Gakharia as the Prime Minister was actively involved in the managing of economic processes.

Soso Berikashvili deeply believes that political or economic processes will be suspended before the appointment of a new Prime Minister, which will be bad for the economy.

"This Prime Minister was actively involved in the management of the current processes. How well he fulfilled the business’ demands is another issue. However, Gakharia's resignation will stop economic processes until the appointment of a new Prime Minister, which can be disastrous”, the Dean of Caucasus School of Economics explains.

He notes, that the new head of the government must have the ability to take quick decisions, because prompt action is essential.

"It is important to have a decision-maker person at the head of the government in order to act quickly. We are still in a very serious crisis and a way out should be found from this crisis. Giorgi Gakharia had experience in business relations and could make similar decisions”, Soso Berikashvili said.
