The Ministry of Health will finance Georgian citizens returning from emigration with 4,000 GEL, if they have been abroad illegally for more than 12 months and returned to the country in the last year. One of the important conditions for receiving the grant is a business idea.
Georgian citizens returning from emigration must submit the business idea, which will be considered by a special commission. If approved, the project may be among the 200 beneficiaries funded by the state with a grant of 4,000 GEL.
IDPs and Eco-migrants Agency of Georgia says that the funded projects will be monitored for two years and if the beneficiary decides to leave the business and the country, they will face a sanction.
Registration has already started, allowing Georgian emigrants to apply for the programme, and it will continue until April 5.
