The lari strengthened as a result of the June 8 trade. The change in the exchange rate against the US dollar was 0.98 tetri, as a result of which the official value of the dollar became 3.1471 GEL.
According to the NBG, the national currency strengthened by 0.56 tetri against the euro, as a result of which the official value of one euro became 3.8316 GEL.
Today, the lari strengthened by 0.05 tetri against the Turkish lira, as a result of which its value became 0.3657 GEL. The cost of the British pound sterling decreased by 1.48 tetri and amounted to 4.4494 GEL.
The rates obtained as a result of today's trading will take effect from tomorrow, June 9.
During 2021, the NBG conducted a total of 7 currency auctions to reduce GEL exchange rate fluctuations and sold $ 242.9 million.
