The lari strengthened as a result of the June 21 trade. The change in the exchange rate against the US dollar was 0.28 tetri, as a result of which the official value of the dollar became 3.1653 GEL.
According to the NBG, the national currency strengthened by 0.96 tetri against the euro, as a result of which the official value of one euro became 3.7658 GEL.
The cost of the British pound sterling decreased by 1.12 tetri and amounted to 4.3947 GEL.
The rates obtained as a result of today's trading will take effect from tomorrow, June 22.
During 2021, the NBG conducted a total of 7 currency auctions to reduce GEL exchange rate fluctuations and sold $ 242.9 million.
