Health Minister Ekaterine Tikaradze told TV Show “No Time To Seep” that Georgia does not really need so many clinics.
According to the Minister, Georgia has an excessive “bed fund” comparing to the Great Britain or Germany.
"There are 2.54 beds per 100,000 citizens in England, while 8 - in Germany and we have 18 - in Georgia," said Ekaterine Tikaradze.
Health Minister declares, that there are 415 clinics in the country and it is almost impossible to control the quality of services they provide to the citizens. She notes that the Ministry of Health is now working on a strategy, which will offer safe and quality health services.
“We do not have a cap in the country, so the number of clinics is growing constantly, it damages honest business as well”, the minister said.
