Georgia Earned $ 104.2 Million From Wine Exports in Six Months

In the first six months of 2021, Georgia earned $ 104.2 million from the export of natural grape wines, which is 14% more than the export figure for the same period of the pandemic year. At the same time, the export of 2019 is 7.2% higher.
 
According to official Geostat data, the main wine exporting countries are Russia, Ukraine, and China. Wine sales have increased in almost all export markets. The TOP-10 of the sales markets looks like this:
 
1. Russia - $ 59.7 million;
2. Ukraine - 10.2 million dollars;
3. China - $ 7.5 million;
4. Poland - $ 5.9 million;
5. Kazakhstan - $ 4.2 million;
6. Belarus - $ 2.2 million;
7. US - $ 2.2 million;
8. Latvia - 2.1 million dollars;
9. Germany - $ 1.5 million;
10. Lithuania - $ 1.2 million.

Wine exports to 27 EU countries also increased and the value of wine sold amounted to 12.8 million dollars. This number is 23.3% higher than the 6-month period of 2020 and 39.2% higher than the 2019 export.
