Georgia exported 2.7 tons raw gold worth of 97.5 million USD in 2020. According to the official figures, gold exports were not significantly up amid pandemic, but the revenues gained from gold sale grew by 33.9% and amounted to 97.5 million USD (2019 – 72.8 million USD).

Georgia sold 2.7 tons gold in 4 countries in 2020, while 2.6 tons gold - in three countries in 2019.
The largest amount of gold (2.6 tons) was sold in Switzerland.

TOP Countries By Exports of Raw or Semi-processed Gold:

1. Switzerland - 92.4 million USD;
2. Germany – 2.6 million USD;
3. Turkey – 1.2 million USD;
4. The United Arab Emirates - 1.2 million USD.

In January-April 2021, 0.5 tons of gold worth $ 18.6 million was exported from Georgia to Switzerland, the United Arab Emirates, Germany and Turkey.

Last year, the country imported a total of $ 0.6 thousand worth of gold in the form of crude powder.
