Georgia has purchased 412 tons of perfumes and Eau de toilette worth $ 8.8 million in January-May of this year, which is almost equal to 2019 imports ($ 8.8 million, 451 tons).

This figure exceeds the data of the same period last year by 29.9% in value and 5.2% in volume.

According to official statistics, the main suppliers of perfumes to Georgia do not change over the years.

1. Poland - 1.8 million USD, 121.8 tons;
2. Russia - 1.2 million USD, 85.0 tons;
3. France - 1.2 million USD, 17.1 tons;
4. Spain - 1.0 million USD, 18.4 tons;
5. Belgium - 911.1 thousand USD, 4.4 tons;
6. United Arab Emirates - 658 thousand USD, 61.8 tons;
7. Turkey - 365 thousand USD, 31.2 tons;
8. Ukraine - 336.3 thousand USD, 2.2 tons;
9. Italy - 311.7 thousand USD, 6.3 tons;
10. Netherlands - 248.1 thousand USD, 32.4 tons.

Imports of perfumes were significantly down in 2020 and the country spent 19.7 million USD on the perfume products of 1,078.4 tons, while 24.2 million USD were spent on the perfumes of 1 201.0 million tons before the pandemic.

In addition to the above-mentioned import markets, Georgia also buys perfumes from the following countries: China, Hong Kong, Switzerland, Germany, the United Kingdom and etc.
