The Ministry of Environment Protection and Agriculture reports, that the value of 2,149 tons of apples exported from Georgia amounted to 947,000 USD by October 11.
According to the agency, export volume is 6 times higher comparing to the same period of 2019. Moreover, the export volume increased by 713 thousand USD.
This year, apples are exported to the Russian Federation (2,068 tons), Kazakhstan (75 tons), Armenia (6 tons), Singapore and Hong Kong.
Intensive and semi-intensive apple orchards were planted on 1,128 hectares throughout Georgia within the framework of the state program "Plant the Future". State co-financing amounted to more than 9 million GEL.
