Georgia received an invitation from the US President Biden to a Democracy Summit - PM

We are now preparing for a meeting of the Associated Trio - Georgian, Ukrainian and Moldovan Prime Ministers - which will be held in Brussels presumably on November 30 and December 1, 2021. It was announced by Irakli Garibashvili, Prime Minister of Georgia at the Executive Government Meeting today.

He commented on the visit of David Zalkaliani, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs of Georgia to the Eastern Partnership Ministerial held in Brussels - and in the opinion of the Prime Minister of Georgia - turned out to be rather successful.

"We are now preparing for a meeting of the Associated Trio - Georgian, Ukrainian and Moldovan Prime Ministers - which will be held in Brussels presumably on November 30 and December 1, 2021. We have a prior agreement and confirmation on this. It will be a preparatory visit for the Eastern Partnership Summit, which will be held in Brussels on December 15 and I will be taking part it in" added the Prime Minister of Georgia.

In addition and as commonly known, Georgia received an invitation from the US President Biden for the Democracy Summit.

"Now we have received an official invitation as well addressed to Madam President. According to our decision, Madam President will participate and represent Georgia in the Democracy Summit to be held on December 10. In addition, Georgia has been invited to the NATO Ministerial scheduled for December 1-2 and our country will be represented in the event by David Zalkaliani" stated Irakli Garibashvili, Prime Minister of Georgia.

The Head of Government of Georgia spoke about the high indicators of economic growth in the country, thereby noting that GDP in January 2022 will be 65 BLN GEL and it will be a historic maximum.

As noted by the Prime Minister of Georgia, economic growth in the first 9 months of the year reached 11%, which is an unprecedented indicator for the entire region and throughout Europe.

"Economic growth indicators are very optimistic. Economy is recovering at a quick speed. GDP in January 2022 will be 65 BLN GEL and it will be a historic maximum. If calculated further, per capita GDP will be 5500 USD, which is another historic maximum. Let me remind you that economic growth reached 11% in the first 9 months of the year, which is an unprecedentedly high growth for the entire region and throughout Europe. In line with the assessments made by the International Monetary Fund (IMF), Georgia will have the highest economic growth in the region and Europe at large during the coming 5 months. We also designed and developed new programs. Agriculture is the sector, where we have seriously ambitious plans and programs. Some of them are launched and we will be extending their scope from January 2022" stated Irakli Garibashvili, Prime Minister of Georgia.

According to the Head of Government of Georgia, work is actively pursued with the Ministry of Economy of Georgia towards creating new travel destinations, promotion of production and manufacturing, development of agriculture. New initiatives will be presented to the general public in the nearest future.

"In addition, I will be announcing new initiatives in the coming weeks. We are actively working on them together with the Ministry of Economy for the creation of new travel destinations, promotion of production and manufacturing, development of agriculture. Our main focus should be made on the job creation, poverty eradication and unification of our country. It should be a common goal of the nation and all of us should be working around and towards these three major ideas" concluded the Prime Minister of Georgia.
