As a result of the testing, 25,161 new cases of the virus were detected in the last 24 hours. The total number of confirmed cases since the outbreak of the Covid-19 pandemic in the country is 1,375,615.
As of February 8, the daily positive rate is 34.66%, for the last 14 days - 29.26% and for 7 days - 32.45%.
In the last 24 hours, 16,789 people recovered from the virus, bringing the total to 1,141,231. 51 coronavirus deaths were reported in the last 24 hours. A total of 15,351 people have died from the virus since the pandemic spread.
Out of 25,161 new cases of infection detected in the country today: 11,857 cases were reported in Tbilisi, Adjara - 2,011, Imereti - 3,730, Kvemo Kartli - 1,421, Shida Kartli - 1,530, Guria - 642, Samegrelo - Zemo Svaneti - 1,577, Kakheti - 1 253, Mtskheta-Mtianeti - 597, Samtskhe-Javakheti - 437, Racha-Lechkhumi and Kvemo Svaneti - 106.
The number of active cases amounts to 219,007.
