Georgia Reports 2,571 COVID-19 Cases, 3,668 Recoveries, 60 Deaths - Stopcov.ge

Georgia reported 2,571 coronavirus cases, 3,668 recoveries, and 60 deaths on September 8, - the official figures from Stopcov.ge show.

29,449 tests have been conducted in the past 24 hours throughout the country. Among them, 21,313 tests were rapid tests, while the remaining 8,236 were PCR tests.

Georgian capital Tbilisi recorded the highest number of 918 Covid-19 cases within the last 24 hours, followed by the Imereti region with 414 cases, and the Kakheti region with 242 cases.

Georgia’s total case tally reached 570,493, among them, 527,337 people recovered and 7,977 died.

The daily test-positivity rate stands at 8,73%, while 7,69% in the past seven days.

There are 86 people placed in government-assigned quarantine facilities, 6,520 Covid-19 patients are hospitalized, 2,072 asymptomatic, and mild symptom patients are being treated at government-assigned treatment facilities.

Currently, out of 1,512 critical patients, 380 require mechanical ventilation.

As of today, 1,366,678 people got coronavirus jab with 27,011 in a day.
