Georgia reported 3,278 coronavirus cases, 3,890 recoveries, and 53 deaths on December 15, the official figures show.
50,585 tests have been conducted in the past 24 hours throughout the country. Among them, 31,630 tests were rapid tests, while the remaining 18,955 were PCR tests.
Georgian capital Tbilisi recorded the highest number of 1,444 Covid-19 cases within the last 24 hours, followed by the Imereti region with 472 cases and the Shida Kartli region with 286 cases.
Georgia’s total case tally reached 898,079, among them, 844,875 people recovered and 12,878 died.
The daily test-positivity rate stands at 6.48%, while 7,46% in the last 14 days.
Currently, out of 1,472 critical patients, 323 require mechanical ventilation.
