Georgian Airways sends 95% of its staff on unpaid leave

95% of the Georgian Airways airline has sent its employees on unpaid leave for an indefinite period, Roman Bokeria, Director General of the airline, said on March 20.

According to him, due to canceled flights, the company is in a financial crisis and therefore the airline is sending its employees on unpaid leave.

“Due to the current crisis, unfortunately we are forced to send 95% of our employees on unpaid leave for an indefinite period. We will try to get back to work as soon as possible, mobilize financial resources to get our professionals back as soon as possible. Our staff is our biggest capital, ”Bokeria said at a briefing.
