The President of Georgia Salome Zurabishvili is paying an official visit to the Republic of Northern Macedonia.
 
During the visit, the Presidents of Georgia and the Republic of Northern Macedonia signed an agreement "On Exemption from Visa Obligations between the Governments of Georgia and the Republic of Northern Macedonia."
 
According to the Presidential Administration, the agreement between the Government of Georgia and the Government of the Republic of Northern Macedonia on visa exemption is aimed at introducing favorable conditions for mutual access for the citizens of the two countries.
 
"The agreement provides for persons with biometric passports to be allowed to enter, stop or transit through the country without a visa," the president's administration said in a statement.
