“Georgian Dream” stole people 8-9 years of economic prosperity, - this was the key focus made by financier Giga Bedineishvili in an interview with bm.ge, noting that Georgian Dream was doing the opposite of what should be done in terms of economic policy.
"The result is that we have stolen people 8-9 years of economic prosperity, and instead of doubling the economy in USD, the size of the economy is actually the same as it has been in 2013," Bedineishvili said.
According to him, before the pandemic, the government of the "Georgian Dream" had to reduce expenditures, regulations, but in fact everything was done on contrary.
"As far as the pandemic, we were stricter towards the COVID-restrictions than the other world. Despite that we do not have good health outcomes at all. We are the 40th in the world in terms of mortality, and one of the worst in terms of economic downturn. We have not been able to make less harm to the economy and we cannot be proud of health care either.
If we talk about the period of the pandemic, the government of Georgia went and took a debt, they devalued GEL further and charged the future generations to pay their debts. Everyone would do it, what courage does it need?!", - Giga Bedineishvili says.
