Georgian Economy Grew by 9.9% in July – Geostat

In July, the economy grew by 9.9%.

Preliminary indicators of economic growth were published by Geostat today.
 
According to Geostat, in July 2021, compared to the corresponding period of the previous year, growth was observed in the following sectors: financial and insurance activities, manufacturing, hotels and restaurants, transport and warehousing, trade.
 
A declining trend was observed in the construction and mining industries.
 
In the 7 months of 2021, the economic growth rate was 12.2%.
 
"It is noteworthy that compared to July 2019, there is a 3.9% increase," said Gogita Todradze, CEO of Geostat.
