Georgian FM Met Czech Speaker of Chamber of Deputies

Within the framework of his visit to the Czech Republic, the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Georgia Ilia Darchiashvili received the Speaker of the Chamber of Deputies of the Czech Parliament, Markéta Pekarová Adamová.
The sides paid special attention to the importance of further deepening cooperation between Georgia and the Czech Republic in the parliamentary dimension, especially in terms of sharing Georgia's experience in harmonizing the Georgian legislation with that of the EU and the Czech Parliament's active support for Georgia’s aspirations in various international platforms.
The sides also reviewed the agenda of Georgia-Czech Republic bilateral cooperation and welcomed the planned visit of the President of the Czech Senate to Georgia.
Speaking about the difficult security environment in the region, the Speaker of the Czech Parliament was briefed on the situation in the occupied regions of Georgia, the Czech side reiterated its strong support for Georgia's sovereignty and territorial integrity and condemned Russia's actions against Georgia.
