Georgian FM To Hold Meetings In Brussels Within Associated Trio Format

David Zalkaliani, Vice Prime Minister, Minister of Foreign Affairs of Georgia, is to travel to Brussels within the scope of a working visit of the Foreign Ministers of the Associated Trio - Georgia, Moldova and Ukraine.

Within the visit, Vice Prime Minister, Minister of Foreign Affairs of Georgia David Zalkaliani, Acting Prime Minister, Minister of Foreign Affairs and European Integration of Moldova Aureliu Ciocoi and Minister of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine Dmytro Kuleba will hold meetings with Josep Borrell, High Representative of the European Union for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy, Vice-President of the European Commission, Valdis Dombrovskis, Executive Vice President of the European Commission for An Economy that Works for People, as well as Olivér Várhelyi, European Commissioner for Neighborhood and Enlargement.

Joint meetings of the Ministers are also to take place at the European Parliament, including with the Chair of the European Parliament's Committee on Foreign Affairs (AFET), Chairpersons of the Parliamentary Association Committee and Rapporteurs on Georgia, Ukraine and Moldova.

During the visit, the Ministers will brief the EU on the goals of the establishment of the Association Trio and its future activities, and discuss prospects for the cooperation in the EU integration process, deepening the Association Trio's relations with the EU in different fields, as well as the security environment in the region, preparations for the upcoming Eastern Partnership summit and more.

During the visit, the Foreign Ministers of the three associated countries will also participate in a discussion organized by the Konrad Adenauer Foundation.

Within the framework of the working visit to Brussels, Foreign Minister will hold bilateral meetings with Didier Reynders, European Commissioner for Justice, as well as the EU Political and Security Committee Ambassadors.
