In January-August 2021, the cargo turnover of the Georgian Railway amounted to 8 million tons, which is 9.6% more than the same period last year, according to the report published by the Ministry of Economy.
During the same period, 19.4 million tons of cargo were transported by road. The increase was 1.5%.
As for air transport, 11.5 million tons of cargo were shipped by air in 8M2021, the rate is 4.3% more than in January-August last year.
