Georgian wine importer Hereti Global will sell Alazani Estate Winery Kindzmarauli for $ 80 and Saperavi Qvevri for $ 85 at La Boite, an elite club-restaurant in Manhattan, New York. Avtandil Chkheidze, the founder of Hereti Global told BM.GE.
According to him, Georgian wine was sold at the club-restaurant as a sample. However, the wine was sold out in one evening. Hence, the demand is for larger volumes. Accordingly, Hereti Global will become a supplier of Georgian wine to La Boite.
"This will be the example that we can bring Georgian wine at high-class restaurants. It will make easier to negotiate with other restaurants and position Georgian wine in a high segment”, Avtandil Chkheidze told BM.GE.
The founder of Hereti Global noted that due to the high demand in the same club-restaurant, the price of wine will increase to 105 USD for Kindzmarauli and 110 USD for Saperavi Qvevri.
It should be noted, that Hereti Global exported 16,500 bottles of wine, worth of 132,00 USD on September 7 this year. Today, wines of Alazani Estate Winery are sold in 13 stores.
