Geostat To Publish June Inflation Today

Today, the National Statistics Office of Georgia (Geostat) will release the consumer price index for June.

The report will be published on the official website of the National Statistics Service at 11:00.

The annual inflation level stood at 13.3% in May.

According to the forecast of the National Bank, the average inflation should be 10.5% in the second quarter, which should decrease to 8.85% in the third quarter and 7% in the fourth quarter. According to the same forecast, inflation will be 5.3% in the first quarter of 2023, and 3.4% in the second quarter.

The President of the National Bank of Georgia, Koba Gvenetadze deeply believes that the level of inflation in Georgia will approach the target 3% indicator in the second quarter of 2023.
