The government is working on the fourth phase of economic support. As the Prime Minister Giorgi Gakharia explained, the government's economic team is working on the package jointly with international partners and the National Bank.
According to Gakharia, the package will include part of the existing social support programs, in a modernized version.
"The Georgian government has stated about the rational redistribution of resources since the beginning of the crisis. Especially it concerns to the maintenance of jobs and social support for our citizens. The program will include well-tested mechanisms for the citizens who have lost their jobs, vulnerable families, affected businesses, and so on. All this is being modernized,” said Giorgi Gakharia.
