Business Association of Georgian(BAG) is demanding to shift the curfew by 2 hours. The Association disseminated the relevant demand on February 26.

According to the CEO of BAG, the government of Georgia did not give feedback so far. Levan Vepkhvadze told BM.GE, that "supposedly rearrangement process takes place in the government itself and the BAG is waiting for the results”.

"We have made a statement in public and we hope that the relevant response will follow. As for the curfew itself, some business activities are directly related to the curfew in a negative context”, Levan Vepkhvadze declares.

According to the CEO of BAG, the business does not pay rent when it is closed, but when they are open, they have to pay.

“If the operating time is limited for the business, some operators prefer to be closed rather than open, because their expenditures can increase. If we are opening up the economy, we should think not to open them formally, but also be able to operate and actually generate the revenue. We are not talking about profits or significant revenues; We want the companies to survive the pandemic,” said Levan Vepkhvadze.
