The Georgian government expects almost 11 million international travelers in the country in 2025. This figure stood at USD 9.4 million in 2019, while by 2022 their number should reach 5 million.

As for the visits made by international visitors, according to the government's expectations, their number would be 7.6 million in 2025, which is slightly less compared to the figure of 2019, when the figure exceeded 7.7 million.

According to the tourism strategy prepared by the Ministry of Economy, by 2025 the country will receive USD 5.2 billion in income from tourism. In 2019, before the pandemic, the country received USD 3.2 billion from international tourism.

The country's authorities think that by 2025, the percentage of visitors entering the country by air will increase to 60%. Last year, this figure was 51%. By 2025, the average visitor expenditure is expected to be USD 490 [in 2019, this figure was USD 349], while the average length of stay - five nights.
