The 200 GEL incentives will continue in January, and age threshold for incentive eligibility upon vaccination is lowered to 50. This decision was made by the Interagency Coordination Council chaired by Prime Minister Irakli Garibashvili at the Government Administration.
The council's decision, designed to encourage vaccination among risk groups even further, will come into force on January 1.
In addition, January 1 to January 10 has been declared days off at public institutions. The Coordination Council urges private establishments to follow suit.
The Interagency Coordination Council once again urges citizens to avoid crowded gatherings, wear facemasks, maintain social distancing, and actively engage in the process of vaccination.
The Parliament of Georgia and the President's Administration are actively involved in the work of the Interagency Coordination Council under the Prime Minister.
