Current epidemic stance and incentives designed to promote wide-spread vaccination in the country resulting in the intensified process have been discussed by the Inter-Agency Coordination Council led by Irakli Garibashvili, Prime Minister of Georgia at the Government Administration.

As commonly known, each citizen of Georgia aged 60 or above will receive a one-off supplement of 200 GEL upon the first dose of COVID-19 vaccine if administered from November 8, 2021 through December 31, 2021 as decided by the Coordination Council.

At the same time, resolution issued by the Council of Europe has been deemed positive by the Coordination Council today as Georgia is thus joining the EU Digital COVID-Certification System. Hence, COVID-Certificates on vaccination, lab tests and recovery from the novel coronavirus issued in Georgia are acknowledged by the EU and equalized with certificates issued by respective regulators of the EU, which are aimed at facilitating the free mobility of people within the EU.

Besides, as also widely known, a concept of the so-called Green Passport will be enacted from December 1, 2022 as decided by the Inter-Agency Coordination Council. It means that citizens of the country will be admitted to the following venues from December 1, 2022 solely by presenting their Green Passports: eateries, indoors and outdoors of restaurants, cafes and bars, cinemas, theatres, operas, museums, concert halls, entertainment centers, casinos and gambling facilities, spas, gyms, hotels and ski lifts at winter resorts. Visitors of the listed venues will be subject to this requirement. As for the entertainment centers for children, Green Passport will apply to individuals aged 18 or above. A person has a green status, if fully vaccinated, has a PCR test valid for 72 hours or antigen test with a validity of 24 hours, has had been infected with coronavirus. Under the instructions of the Prime Minister of Georgia, immunization campaigns will be actively continued and promotional measures will be held in every municipality. Inter-Agency Coordination Council urges citizens of the country to get actively engaged in the process, wear facemasks and practice social distancing.

Since the first detection, 791 115 lab-proven cases have been registered in Georgia, out of which 727 184 individuals recovered and 11 140 died.

Currently, 70 individuals are placed in quarantine, 1 156 - at clinical hotels and 6 718 - at healthcare facilities under medical supervision.

The Inter-Agency Coordination Council led by the Prime Minister of Georgia actively engages the Parliament of Georgia and Administration of the President of Georgia.
