We can see reality and we know, there are a lot of challenges, - Economy Minister Levan Davitashvili declared at the parliament within the format of the Minister's Hour.
The minister especially makes focus on inflation and notes, that inflation is a very important challenge.
"We are realistic, there are many challenges. We understand that our population still has many problems. Disruption of supply chains, the war between Russia and Ukraine has led to global inflation.
We have double-digit inflation in the Eurozone today, and inflation in the USA is a record high, not to mention the countries of the region, whose rate is several times higher than ours. We also have quite high inflation and are still far from the target rate. We understand that this directly affects the situation of the population. We have a close, coordinated work with the National Bank, and the monetary policy rate is still maintained at a high 11% until the inflation pressure is removed," said Levan Davitashvili.
