House sales in Turkey increased by 38.8% in April compared to the same month of the previous year, reaching 133 058. İstanbul had the highest share with 19.8% and 26 330 house sales. The followers of İstanbul were Ankara with 12 195 house sales and İzmir with 8 459 house sales with the share of 9.2% and 6.4% respectively. The provinces with the lowest number of sales were Ardahan and Hakkari with 25, Bayburt with 47 house sales.
In January-April period, house sales increased by 26.2% compared to the same period of the previous year and became 453 121, reads the latest report of TurkStat.
House sales to foreigners increased by 58.1% in April compared to the same month of the previous year and reached 6 447. House sales to foreigners had 4.8% share of all house sales in April. İstanbul ranked first with 2 564 sales to foreigners. The followers of İstanbul were Antalya with 1 970 house sales and Ankara with 333 house sales to foreigners.
In January-April period, house sales to foreigners increased by 48.9% compared to the same period of the previous year and became 20 791.
In April, Russia citizens bought 1 152 houses from Turkey. The followers of Russia citizens were Iran citizens with 905 house sales and Iraq citizens with 714 house sales.
