How Much Coffee Did Georgia Buy In 10M2021?

Georgia bought less roasted or unroasted coffee in 10M2021 compared to 2020 and 2019.

According to the official statistics, Georgia imported roasted or unroasted coffee of 5 101.7 tons from different countries, which is 3% less compared to the same period of the last year, while 8.1% less compared to 2019.

In January-October, Georgia spent USD14.8 million on the coffee imports, which was 14.5% up compared to 2020.

The list of TOP-10 importing countries is as follows:

1. Indonesia - USD 5.1 million, 2,622.6 tons;
2. Russia – USD 1.8 million, 471.8 tons;
3. Italy - USD 1.8 million, 185.9 tons;
4. Vietnam - USD 1.6 million, 843.8 tons;
5. Germany – USD 1.5 million, 289.7 tons;
6. Armenia – USD 749 thousand, 267.6 tons;
7. Turkey – USD 485.5 thousand, 73.6 tons;
8. France – USD 457.6 thousand, 49 tons;
9. Netherlands – USD 261.5 thousand, 47.7 tons;
10. Austria – USD 177.9 thousand, 19.5 tons.

Other importing countries include Bulgaria, Uganda, Brazil, Cameroon, Spain, China, India, the United Kingdom, Switzerland and others.

Despite the fact that Georgia does not produce coffee, local coffee exports amounted to 105.6 tons, valued at USD 336.9 thousand in September-January. Georgia made coffee exports to Armenia and Russia.
