Georgia gained 145 million USD from wine exports in January-August this year, which is 13% more than the same period last year, and the amount of wine exported increased by 19%. Georgia exported 65 million bottles of wine to 59 countries, - says the Georgian National Wine Agency.

According to the agency, Russia, Ukraine, Poland, China and Kazakhstan are in the TOP-5 Georgian wine-exporting countries, while Georgian wine exports are grown on the following market: Poland - 29% (3,638,057 bottles); China - 9% (3,373,517 bottles); Latvia - 4% (1,119,219 bottles); Lithuania - 56% (675,510 bottles); US - 26% (700 696 bottles); Germany - 23% (553,852 bottles) and the United Kingdom - 73% (435,264 bottles);

This year, the growth of wine exports was observed in the following countries: Canada - 132% (235 888 bottles); Sweden - 65% (69,280 bottles); Czech Republic - 646% (112 236 bottles); France - 31% (50,416 bottles); Kazakhstan - 37% (2 552 200 bottles); Israel - 52% (304,827 bottles); Azerbaijan - 21% (158,411 bottles); Turkey - 156% (77 226 bottles); Ukraine - 16% (7,366,327 bottles); Russia - 17% (39,474,016 bottles); Mongolia - 316% (306,690 bottles); Belarus - 13% (2,062,327 bottles), etc.

According to the Wine Agency, in total 368 companies exported wine abroad in the reporting period.

At the same time, during the reporting period, 22 million bottles (0.5 l) of the brand were exported, which is 21% more than in the same period of 2020. Revenue from brand exports reached $ 40.3 million (up 8%).

During the same period, 570 thousand bottles (0.5 l) of Chacha were exported from the country and the growth was 115%. Revenue from the selling of Chacha reaches $ 1.3 million, the growth was 91% compared to the same period last year.

In total, Georgia has sold $234 million worth of alcoholic beverages in the reporting period, including wine, brandy, chacha and others.
