Georgian Tourism Sector lost 2.5 billion USD in 2020. Georgia’s revenue from international tourism is 82% down in 11M, 2020 amounting to 527 million USD. International visitors, who came before the announced lockdown, spent major share of the sum (427 million USD). Georgia received merely 100 million USD from tourism after the suspension of flights.

According to GNTA, number of international visits was 81% or 7,608,656 down y-o-y and came out to 1,749,308.
