"Managing one case of infection at the hospital, costs about 2,000 GEL to the state. However, it is a very rough calculation, because in some cases it can be 1,000 GEL, while in other cases - 500 GEL.
For an average evaluation, we use 2,000 GEL-rate. This does not include investment that has been made to provide oxygen, mobilize breathing apparatus, staff trainings i.e. investment expenditures in terms of system preparation is separate", said Tamar Gabunia, adding that in the case of need, she could provide detailed information on investment expenditures.
