The Central Election Commission (CEC) approved budget for 2020 Parliament Election early 2020. According to the document, 42,760,652 GEL is allocated for the parliamentary elections.
However, 42.8 million GEL from the budget is distributed as follows:
· Expenses for labor remuneration - 19,531,295 GEL;
· Expenses for the purchase of goods and services - 9,845,000 GEL;
· Expenditures for social security - 424,133 GEL;
· Other expenses - 12,152,724 GEL;
· Increase in non-financial assets - 807,500 GEL.
However, 2016 Parliamentary Elections cost the budget 38,136,230 GEL, which is 4,624,422 GEL less comparing to the amount that is spent for 2020 Parliament Election held on October 31.
