Poti Port is the largest logistics hub in Georgia and the country's major exports/imports accounts for the port. Poti Port is managed by the Danish company APM Terminals, which in turn is a member of the Maersk Group.

The company has already published its 2021 financial report. According to the document, the company's total revenue fell by 4% to GEL 187.48 million last year.

The company's net profit also decreased by GEL 37.8 million to GEL 83.2 million.

As the report shows, the decrease in port revenue was due to the decrease in the number of incoming vessels in 2021. The port received 771 ships last year, while in 2020 it served 878 ships. The number of containers served by the port has also been reduced to 302,082 TEU containers in 2021, while the figure stood at 387,368 in 2020.

Despite the decrease in ships and containers, the volume of cargo handled by the port as a whole has increased. Namely, the cargo turnover in 2021 totaled to1.36 million tons, while in 2020, the Port served 1.01 million tons.

Poti port has a total of 15 berths and 8 of them are leased. Yields from the lease exceeded GEL 22.9 million.

Major part of the revenue or GEL 89.9 million is received from bulk cargo, GEL 52.7 million from maritime services, USD 22.9 million from leasing, USD 15.1 million from land services, and USD 6.7 million - from other services.
