How Much Taxes Did The Georgian Gov't Collect This Year?

The Ministry of Finance published a budget performance report for 8 months in 2022. According to the document, the government collected taxes of GEL 8.9 billion this year, which was 90% of the plan for three quarters. The state budget received the largest amount GEL 3.8 billion from Value Added Tax this year. Revenues from the income tax ranked on second place, which totaled to GEL 3 billion.

Budget tax revenues:

• Value added tax - GEL 3.8 billion, 98% of the 9-month plan;
• Income tax - GEL 3 billion, 95% of the 9-month plan;
• Profit tax - GEL 1.4 billion, 107% of the 9-month plan;
• Excise duty - GEL 1.2 billion, 92% of the 9-month plan;
• Including tobacco excise - GEL 516 million;
• Including fuel excise - GEL 353 million.

The budget revenues from privatization this year amounted to GEL 132 million, which was 67% of the 9-month budget plan. The government plans to mobilize GEL 300 million from privatization this year, although the revenue from the sale of state property was only GEL 132 million in 8 months.
