How much the government pays for a one-day quarantine of a citizen?

The Government of Georgia spent 84.9 million GEL to provide quarantine spaces for the population during 2020, including the main expenditure - 73 million GEL has been made by the National Tourism Administration.

According to the IDFI report, there has not been a pricing criteria for the purchase of quarantine services from the hotels until May 4. However, as of the resolution adopted on May 4, the cost of one quarantine room amounts to 100 GEL per day.

According to the IDFI report, the state paid 1.3 million GEL on renting 118 rooms in Hotel Tskaltubo Resort for 31 days. However, after the adoption of the resolution, the cost of the same service has become 214,000 GEL. Accordingly, the state saved 1.1 million GEL.

As for transportation in quarantine spaces, Tourism Administration made purchases worth more than 2.9 million GEL from April to November 15. Contractors were LLC Georgian Bus and LLC OMNES TOUR.
