The subsistence minimum of a working-age male amounted to GEL 216 in September, which was GEL 32 more comparing to the same period of the last year. On the other hand, it indicates to the price increase, - preliminary data show from the Statistics Office of Georgia.
The increase in the subsistence minimum is related to the high inflation, as inflation hit a record high in the country for the last 10 years and amounted to 12.3%.
As of September, the subsistence minimum for average consumers stood at GEL 191.6, which was up by GEL 28.6 compared to the previous year.
